Job Responsibilities
Duties:
- Plan, organize, and deliver instructional programs in Business Studies for high school students.
- Foster an inspiring, motivating, and challenging educational environment.
- Act as a role model of integrity, professionalism, and strength of character.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and the community.
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate respectfully within the learning community.
Key Performance Areas:
- Academic Delivery: Ensure effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Academic Assessment & Reporting: Conduct assessments and provide feedback to students and parents.
- Student Behaviour Management: Uphold discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
- School Brand Ambassadorship: Promote the school’s values and reputation.
- Administration: Handle administrative tasks related to teaching.
- Health & Safety: Maintain safety standards within the school.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) and a PGCE or B. Education (FET) with specialization in Business Studies.
- Certification: SACE registration and a police clearance certificate.
- Experience:
- 2–5 years of teaching experience in the FET phase.
- Specialist subject teaching experience.
- Skills:
- Computer and digital literacy.
- First Aid certification is advantageous.
